- I got my first guitar aged 5, it was a 3/4 acoustic from the local music shop - I bought a strap that had skulls on fire to go with it, jumping around on my bed to pop party 3 because it had the thunderbirds theme on by busted!
- My main axe is an Eric Johnson custom shop Stratocaster in 2 tone sunburst. It’s not traditionally a metal guitar however the pickups are wound extra tight giving them the bite of a hot rail! This paired with my PRS MT15 amplifier which is boosted with a earthquaker tube screamer give me my main gain channel that I use for the majority of the banshees sets. I use a variety of FX pedals including a big sky reverb and a boss CE-2w for my clean tones as well as a EHX line boost for my solos to give them that extra boost!
- I was brought up listening to absolutely everything from bob dylan to Metallica and jamiroqui to Foo Fighters! Despite this, my favourite band of all time has to be Paramore.
- Eric Johnson - I’ve never been able to see a guitarist make their instrument sound so vocal and melodic whilst still being a shred god.
- I went to see Paramore on their last tour at Manchester AO arena and they were absolutely fantastic, note for note perfect!
- I was supposed to see Prince in 2015 but ended up not being able to go, he died before he was able to tour the UK again.
- LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS - Santiago’s Bar. The crowd blew the roof off of that place, the best banshees gig so far.
- It’s so hard to pick just one, I do love playing The Oracle, hearing the crowd scream back at you in the breaks just never gets old.
- Worlds Apart - it is technically a nightmare but I have a strange feeling that is gonna be replaced very soon…
- As we are about to jump back into the studio, I’m listening to a lot of different metal artists as inspiration for my solos so there’s a lot of Judas Priest, Maiden and Dio as well as some more modern metal like Alter Bridge, Polaris and Spiritbox.
- I LOVE girly pop - Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan really is my passive soundtrack at the moment.
- I like to stay active in the gym and walking as well as doing nothing and sitting on the sofa playing video games!
